Taiwan Trip Day 1

Finally got the chance to go to Taiwan with boyfriend!!! Been planning for a Taiwan trip since hmmm last year? So I got really excited when I booked the air tickets 1 month ago~ Ｏ(≧∇≦)Ｏ

Reached airport at around 6am. Checked in our luggage and went for breakfast. Flight was 7am so we dun haf much time already. So we juz grabbed a sandwich and coffee from Coffee Bean.

Trying to capture the pretty sky while waiting for boyfriend to finish the sandwich.

Then we rushed to the gate cos it's already 6.50am! Hate it when we had to rush cos I need to walk and run at the same time in order to catch up with boyfriend. Boyfriend's one step equals to my two big steps lo~ ( ^ o ^ )

We were among the last few to reach the gate but still we made it! Camwhore while waiting for our turn to board the plane.

And~~~~ finally the plane took off!!! And soon it's WELCOME 2 TAIWAN!! ＼（＾＾）／

The clouds are soooo fluffy!!

Reached Taoyuan International Airport at about 12nn. Went to pick up our luggage. I should haf buy a pink one! All the luggage looked the same to me!!!! ＼（－－）／

Grabbed some maps while at the customs. Have to take 3 sets in total - one for xy and one for my colleague. I looked so kiasu wif so many maps! (￣▽￣)

Went to buy bus tickets to Taipei. All bus ticket counters are located at the left exit of the departure hall. There is a sign stating "City Bus" or something like that. If you are not sure which bus to take, there is a Customer Service Counter on the right exit. The staff will advise you the bus to take.

We took Guo Guang bus (国光客运) no. 1819 to Taipei Main Station (台北车站). Guo Guang's ticket counter is at the right side. Ticket is NT$125 per person.

Go out, turn left and you will see the boarding area for Guo Guang bus.

The bus comes quite frequently so dun worry if you see a long queue.

The bus journey to Taipei Main Station (台北车站) is about one hour. Bought Easy Card a.k.a 悠游卡 for easy travel. Each card costs NT$500 including a deposit of NT$100. Then from Taipei Main Station (台北车站) we took MRT a.k.a. 捷运 to Ximen Station (西门站) which is only one station away.

We stayed in Ta Shun Hotel (大顺大饭店) which is only a few minutes walk from Ximen Station (西门站) and Ximending (西门町). Booked this hotel online. Fast and easy! They will collect payment for one night from you first, then the rest of the charges when you check in. You can email them any query or request and they will respond to your mail on the next day!

Although it's a 3-star hotel with only 5 levels, we still enjoyed our stay there. Staff are friendly and polite. The room is also very clean d(-_^) We booked the Superior Suite which cost NT$1,880 per nite.

I requested for a room with bathtub. Heehee~

Put down our stuff and we walked over to Ximending (西门町).

Boyfriend been wanting to eat the famous Ah Zong Mian Xian (阿宗面线). But seriously speaking, I dun find it fantastic lei.

Then boyfriend spotted the toy catcher machines and wanted to try his luck! In case you are guessing, nope we did not catch any. LOL~

Boyfriend's mind was all about food!! Next was Peanut and Corn Ice (花生玉米冰)! The whole bowl was full of ingredients! Boyfriend loves this dessert (actually he likes any thing that has corn). Keke.

Shopped at Ximending (西门町) for awhile before heading back to hotel for a bath. It was so hot and humid! Then we headed to Shilin Night Market (士林夜市) for some shopping and dinner as well.

Shopped at the famous online blogshop - Mayuki 东京着衣. Hasnt been buying clothes from online for about a month! So happy to be able to shop again! Hahaha~ The clothes sold at every shop seemed to be so affordable! And so....I bought quite a few pieces of clothes! The whole nite I was the only one shopping and buying stuff. Heehee (*＾-＾*)

Ate 油饭 and 螃蟹羹. It was yummy! Do give it a try! (^-^*)

Milk tea is a must in Taiwan. At Ximending, we drank Honey Milk Tea. Here we bought our second cup of milk tea for the day - Grass Jelly Milk Tea (仙草奶茶). Nice! Try it~

Bought Giant Chicken Chop (豪大大鸡排) back to hotel for supper. Doesn't taste that good cos it already turned cold, but still not too bad. We din manage to finish it though. Very sian when I ate until the part that had bone.
