Thursday, June 18, 2009Posted by The Princess... PC Show 2009 Went to PC show wif dear dear over the last weekend. Tis is the first time we so 'siao on' lo. LOL! We actually went dere on Fri, Sat & Sun & we bought quite a no. of stuff!! I was on leave on Fri, cos poor me had to work on Sat & Sun. Sianz~ So we went to the PC show. Good thing it wasnt too crowded. Didnt haf any particular item tat we wanna buy. We were juz dere to haf a look. Went to look at laptop skins. No nice ones~ In the end, bought a Winnie The Pooh mouse pad for oni $2! Keke~  Then received a call from Xinyi, asking me which camera brand better. Apparently she's at the PC show too! Met her outside to discuss which camera she wan. Then the whole lot of us went back to take a look on the models tat she chosen. She bought a Samsung camera in the end, cost slightly less than $300. Discounts were given by the staff as it was the second time we went back to c the camera, & oso becos we stood dere very long tinking whether to buy or not. Keke~ Then dear dear & me went to Hall 6. My Nokia hp is going cranky liao. Nid to find a replacement! Saw LG Arena on promotion!! Been wanting to get tat but it was expensive ar. The price dropped from $400 plus to $300 plus. But I still cant decide whether to buy or not, since I was tinking of getting a lappy. Dun haf so much money to spend wor~ Another choice is to get LG Viewty. I like it cos it's PINK! Keke~ Most importantly it's $0 now!! Hmmm...... Went home after the PC show since I still had to work the next day. However back again on Sat after work! Haha~ Tis time dear dear brought his lappy wif him. So we went to find laptop skins again. Dear dear saw one tat he liked very much but it was hung rite at the top. We tried finding the same one below but couldnt find. The staff was nice enuff to climb up the ladder to help us get tat one down. Hee~ Guess it's probably the last one le. Then the staff replaced wif another skin. Then dear dear sae tat one oso very nice -_- I was like 'huh~ you wan him to climb up again ar?' They were having tis promotion of 'Buy 3 Get 1 Free'. So we went on to search for 3 more items. In the end, we got wrist pad sticker, screen guard & cleaning kit. Next stop is to get the staff to paste the laptop skin, wrist pad sticker & screen guard for us. We waited so long for our turn. The pasting process took a very long time oso! More & more pple were crowding ard. Started to feel breathless. In the end, I had to move to the side of the hall to rest. Finally they were done wif dear dear's lappy! 3 different pple were doing the pasting service for dear dear okie. Keke~ Finally out of Hall 4! Seriously I tink tat area had no ventilation. It was so stuffy! Then we went to Hall 6 again! He kept asking whether I wan to buy Arena & kept psyco-ing me to play wif the demo set. Wa lao~ Who can slim down! Keke!  Viewty or Arena?? Then I finally made my decision! Whahaha~ I'm buying LG Viewty! Cos it's pink & it's $0!! So the money tat I saved for hp can be used to buy lappy~~ We asked the staff where shld we go if we wan to re-contract our plan. Well~ the SingTel staff were sending us here n dere lo! We went here, the person told us to go dere. We went dere, tat person told us to go back here. Wa kao! Finally found the queue but it was super duper long! It was already 8pm liao & the PC show was supposed to close at 9pm. Someone actually went to count the no. of pple in front & I overheard him saying tat there were abt 70 pple queueing in front!!! O_O The SingTel staff was telling everyone tat we probably had to wait for ard 3 to 4 hrs lo!! Faint~ Some pple dropped out of the queue when they heard tat. Actually we din wait tat long oso la, cos SingTel issued a letter for everyone to collect their hp at any hello! shop at the roadshow price. So the queue went quite fast. Got the letter & dear dear wanted to pop by Starhub booth to re-contract his broadband plan. Within the Starhub booth, dere were 4 different counters tat you haf to go to. So we sort of registered for a queue no. at counter 1, then went over to counter 2 to fill up the forms etc, then went to counter 3 to collect the free gifts & lastly counter 4 was the cashier. Y muz it be so troublesome?? Oh ya, one of the free gifts was a new home telephone line which is basically free! It was fun choosing the no. keke~ We were reading out the nos. to c which one sounds better. Haha~ Tat phone no. will be my private SOS no. Heehee~ Oni me can call to tat no.! :p By the time we finished everything, it was way past 9pm le. They kept making PA announcements, counting down to the shut down of electricity. LOL~ Can c tat everyone very kan jiong to finish wateva they r doing. Went to the PC show again on Sunday! Hee~ Tis time was to go buy a lappy for myself! Was discussing wif dear dear on wat brand to get the previous nite. Toshiba was his recommendation. I dun really noe which brand is good. I picked according to the lappy design & brand name (whether it sounds good)! & of cos muz b within my budget! LOL~ Popping by every lappy booth to c c look look. None of them really captured my attention. At first wanted to get a Fujitsu lappy de, but the notebook series were all so heavy. Then we went to Toshiba booth. Dear dear saw a white lappy tat he liked (acutally he likes any lappy tat is white). Many models had to b pre-ordered, which I dun really like. Cos we still had to collect the lappy at another place, somemore 2 weeks later. We chose another sales staff to ask abt their promotion. Not very attractive oso. Dear dear saw his NS fren when we were abt to leave. He told us tat he still haf stocks available, white color somemore! Haha~ Good thing we met him. He gave me a very good discount! Plus lots of freebies~~ So I got myself a Toshiba Portege M800. After tat, we quickly went to level 6 to redeem our freebies as many of them were already oos.  My white Toshiba lappy~ Lucky the items tat I wanted were still available. My freebies are an optical mouse, cleaning kit, 2GB thumbdrive, skype phone, monitor & keyboard. Good thing tat dear dear was dere to help me carry! Then we hurried down to Hall 4 again to choose a nice skin for my lappy. The staff remembered me! Cos she asked me for sweets the previous day. Then she told me tat she had sweets wif her & wanted to offer me. Haha~ Queued very long (again) to get the skin & screen guard pasted. Pple were crowding ard when the staff was pasting my laptop skin. Pple ard were toking abt it, some even asked how much it cost (same situation oso happened to dear dear the previous day). LOL~  Nice? ^-^ Then we happily carried my stuff & went to eat Carl's Jr before heading home! Wat a fruitful trip! Haha~ I got myself so many stuff from the PC show tis yr wor! *Happy Happy* Bought a lappy case & a hp accessory for my new IT stuff! Yes, they're all PINK!
